British interior designer Catherine Pawson oversaw the exquisite interiors, while renowned villa architect François Pécard is responsible for the villa’s unusual layout. The main complex features twin, air-conditioned pavilions hugging an outdoor lounge with ample seating; inside one is another living area, while the other contains a professional chef’s kitchen and large breakfast table.
On either of the pool deck, along wooden walkways, stand two ocean-view bedrooms in their own bungalow-style pavilions, each boasting a king-size bed and outdoor shower. The remaining pair of bedrooms are found in two more pavilions hidden downhill – most guests drive back up, forsaking a steep walk – and throw in their own plunge pools and a shared, al fresco gym. All rooms come with a bathtub and private terrace.
So much privacy works well for groups of friends, and ditto the location: Gustavia’s boutiques and restaurants are just a short drive away, as is Gouverneur’s gorgeous beach.
