During spring: early spring brings perfect skiing conditions, with clear blue skies and stable snow that provides outstanding runs and days of family fun. As the temperatures start to climb later on in spring, you’ll see the first wildflowers blooming and the hiking trails opening up. Park City is brimming with events, festivals and concerts during the summer, especially the Deer Valley Concert, which uses the natural amphitheatre of the mountain valley to create some surprisingly good acoustics. Pack a picnic and enjoy the show and the scenery at the same time.
During autumn: while there are still plenty of activities on offer during the autumn, the real showstopper is the changing colours of ‘fall’. Putting on a display that would do New England proud, the valley is ablaze with reds and golds. The calm conditions make it perfect for hot air ballooning, giving you a great way to see the area before the winter snows set in.
During winter: winter sees the start of the ski season in Park City. Temperatures fall to well below 0°C (32°F). If you’re driving in Park City at this time of the year it is best to use a 4x4 or AWD vehicle fitted with snow tyres.
