Our Vail Colorado cabins & vacation rentals
They may be 30 minutes apart by road, but Vail and Beaver Creek are soulmates when it comes to the very best in Colorado resorts. Our vacation rentals in Vail and Beaver Creek introduce you to the world of Swiss villages in the USA, and almost-perfect powder snow that will satisfy the most demanding skier or snowboarder.
Wander through the quaint cobbled streets of Vail and you could easily believe that you’d been transported across the ocean to a Swiss alpine village. Despite its very recent history, Vail looks and feels much older. It’s chic, it’s sophisticated, and the picture-postcard chalets and cabins in pastel colours make it very different from the chilled-out yet exclusive Beaver Creek. The restaurants are family-friendly and the après ski is vibrant and entertaining. The skiing is sublime, with some of the best black runs in the whole of the Rockies to challenge even the most skilled skier.

Beaver Creek is a little more laid back, with a bohemian atmosphere that’s incredibly endearing. It has a reputation for exceptional Beaver Creek vacation rentals and villas, elegant shops and restaurants serving exquisite cuisine. The snow here is almost as perfect as it gets and is particularly suitable for snowboarding.
“If someone asked me what sums up Vail & Beaver Creek, I would say that (apart from the world-class ski resorts and charming Swiss-like villages) it is the sense of calm you feel when surrounded by breathtaking natural landscapes.”
Please note: these are the average temperatures reported but can vary greatly due to weather conditions, such as heat waves etc. We kindly invite you to contact us for more information, including confirmation that your chosen chalet has air conditioning, to ensure a comfortable stay.
During spring: this transitional period means that the higher Vail ski slopes are still packing some seriously good snow, but lower down and along the valleys you’ll start to see the first spring meadows bursting into bloom. Spring celebrations during March in Beaver Creek are not to be missed, while April’s A Taste of Vail food festival is a must. Expect temperatures to be between 10°C to -4°C (51-25°F).
During summer: the snow may have melted, but there’s still plenty to see and do. The mountains are crisscrossed with trails and temperatures have started to warm up as high as 25°C (77°F), perfect hiking weather. But remember you are in the mountains, so keep a jumper handy for those chilly evenings.
During autumn: the trees put on quite a display during the autumn months and the colours are stunning. While temperatures in September can still hit 20°C (68°F), you’ll notice a big drop off in October when the first snows really start to pile up on the mountain slopes. By the time November rolls around the temperature is in single digits, so dress accordingly.
During winter: peak season in Vail & Beaver Creek brings heavy snowfall and big crowds for skiing and snowboarding. Temperatures stay below freezing throughout December through to February, but the quality of the skiing is superb, accompanied by dazzlingly blue skies.
Make the journey as memorable as the arrival. Your dedicated concierge can arrange transportation from the closest airport to your Vail & Beaver Creek chalet.
There are two options for those flying into either Vail or Beaver Creek. The closest airport is Vail/Eagle County Airport, which is suitable for smaller private charter planes. The larger Denver International Airport is further away, but is open all year round and is a hub for both regional and international flights. Your dedicated concierge will be happy to arrange transfers from either airport to your vacation rental, or to have a hire vehicle waiting for you when you arrive.
The roads are excellent in this part of the Rockies, but you will need to ensure you have winter tyres fitted, or even snow chains in extreme conditions. As this is a mountainous region, some of the roads to our Vail and Beaver Creek vacation rentals are quite steep. During the winter, you will need a 4x4 vehicle to be able to access some driveways. The most direct route into Vail is the I-70. Vail is 100 miles from Denver and the journey takes around three to four hours, depending on conditions and traffic. Try to avoid peak times in the morning and afternoon as the I-70 can be congested at these times.
