You'll find the delightful Saint Ann Parish on the northern coast of Jamaica. Just east of the iconic Discovery Bay, it's a prestigious enclave that's home to opulent hotels and the Breezes Runaway Bay championship golf club. Wander away from the hotels on the beachfront, and you'll find food shacks selling delicious food such as peppered shrimps and roasted yellow yam and bars serving some of the most potent rum drinks you'll ever taste.
Breakaway Villa is a little oasis of tranquillity. The central atrium is part of the main living space. It's two levels high and opens onto the pool deck, creating a calming, zen-like heart in this elegant complex. Two water features complete with ornamental koi fish give you that indoor/outdoor feel and the dining space is also the perfect spot for a quiet meal. There's a second living space on the upper level with fabulous views and its own bar. The kitchen is gourmet standard, with every modern appliance you could wish for. The six bedrooms are split between the two levels. Five have king-size beds, including a four-poster option in the downstairs master. A sixth bedroom has two twin beds, while the bunk room has two bunk beds for up to four younger travellers. All bedrooms apart from the bunk room have ensuite bathrooms and either private balconies or access to the sun deck and pool area.
A TV room is ideal for movie nights, while the fully-equipped gym lets you keep on track with your workouts. The pool deck is dominated by a 35ft pool and jacuzzi to soak away the aches and pains at the end of the day. An outdoor dining area is just the spot for al fresco meals, and an open-air shower lets you wash the sand off before heading indoors. And there's nothing quite like heading to your own private beach, lounging in a hammock, and snoozing the afternoon away, listening to the rustle of the palm trees and the soft music of the ocean. Breakaway Villa truly is a little slice of tropical island paradise.
