Resting right on the shining sands of Palmilla Beach, Villa 498 is part of the exclusive, gated enclave of Villas del Mar and has access to the fabulous restaurants, bars, spa and golf courses at the One&Only Palmilla - a golf cart is provided to make the short trip. San Jose del Cabo is just ten minutes away with the airport only 25 minutes away. All around, lies a tropical paradise and the staff of butler, housekeeper and chef mean that exploring and relaxing are the only things you need to think about.
Composed of gentle cream walls, soaring arches and elegant columns, there is a grace and serenity to Villa 498 which is sure to enchant. Designed in the modern Hacienda style with exposed beams, carved wooden furniture and woven textiles, every room captures the joyful spirit of Mexico and its celebration of beauty. The open-plan living space boasts a sweeping travertine floor and incredible glass walls which slide back to connect to the outdoor world. An elegant sitting area looks out towards the horizon and a stately dining table offers a grand setting for a meal, topped by an exquisite, wrought-iron chandelier. The delightful, gourmet kitchen includes rich wood cabinetry and a lovely, granite-topped breakfast bar.
The five gorgeous bedrooms are full of sunshine and style, with carved wooden furnishings, plush beds and dramatic beamed ceilings. There are three king suites, a double queen suite and a magical twin room which bursts with colour and is perfect for kids. All the bedrooms have sumptuous bathrooms adorned with marble, hand-painted Mexican tiling and a different artisan mirror in each.
The outdoor spaces are truly magnificent: the feeling of an ancient temple is created by the soaring columns, ornate stonework and lofty ceilings. The terrace encloses an enchanting al fresco dining table. Soft loungers await as well as an outdoor bar and BBQ. All around lie lush gardens of bougainvillea and towering palms with the hot tub and infinity swimming pool at the heart of it all. Perhaps best of all is the incredible wooden pavilion that houses a magnificent outdoor fireplace. Here, deep-cushioned seating looks out beyond the pillars and palms to the breathtaking vistas of the ocean and the endless promise of the sparkling horizon.
