This exquisite home was designed by Alistair Downie, a London architect, in close collaboration with the owner, who is an interior architect. A stunning open plan gourmet kitchen includes a Portuguese granite island and dining counter; the living space features dramatic high ceilings and doors that open to the outside, allowing light to flow seamlessly into the home. Decorated in chic, soothing tones, the design truly lets the bright, vibrant hues of the surrounding natural environment do all the talking. The interior blends effortlessly with the outside area that showcases some of the finest vistas on the island, stretching past countless lush mahogany trees to the sparkling coast.
Recline in the gorgeous al fresco lounge area, take a dip in the infinity pool or dine in the outside terrace as the day fades and artfully placed lights begin to illuminate the home. After a glorious evening with loved ones, retire to one of four beautifully-appointed bedrooms. The master suite offers a stunning balcony and a covered outdoor terrace with sensational views across the island from an elevated position; enjoy watching the golden sunrise here without having to move from your plush king-sized bed. Atelier House also offers a mezzanine study area and a large roof terrace, perfect for stargazing.
Although a destination all of its own, secluded, private and embraced by local flora species including lilies and bright bougainvillaea, Atelier House is extremely well located on the island. Try your hand at nearby water sport activities, enjoy golf or horse riding or simply unwind in the crystalline waters along the expansive shoreline.
