Tucked away in the northerly end of the Leeward Islands sits the tropical paradise of Anguilla. This is the place for ‘liming’, as the locals say – just hanging out with your friends and family and soaking up the sunshine. Culinary connoisseurs are in heaven here, as the island is home to some of the best restaurants in the archipelago. They serve sophisticated dishes in beachfront locations where you can dine on succulent seafood while watching the waves turn from brilliant blue to golden and pink as the sun sets.
Blue Diamond is spread across three levels. It provides sublime accommodation using a sophisticated 'petal' design, where a central area is surrounded by smaller rooms. The truly magnificent grand room has cathedral-like ceilings and glass walls that allow the soft Caribbean light to flood in. The understated and refined dining room has a bespoke glass triangular table that can seat up to 14 guests, while the kitchen is professional standard, shimmering with brushed steel and a striking curved layout and tiled splashback. The impressive master suite is soothingly decorated with subtle pops of colour to add interest. It has a large king-size bed, ensuite bathroom, and a captivating semi-circular private balcony - the perfect spot for enjoying a morning coffee. Four further tranquil bedrooms all have king-size beds and ensuite bathrooms, as well as individual balconies that offer spectacular views.
The middle of the villa is just the place for afternoons with the children, thanks to the fully stocked entertainment room with a custom-made pool table, ping pong, gaming tables and yet another of those sweeping ocean views. A vast sun terrace dominates the outside, complete with a mesmerising heated pool and outdoor living spaces. A short wander from the sun loungers and palm trees brings you to a divine private beach, where you can sink your toes into the soft, warm sand and watch the sunset. Blue Diamond is a true Caribbean gem.
